Elko cracking down on illegal camping in city

—Elko police say the arrests of two homeless men on illegal camping charges shows a rise in the number of homeless people living in the city. Will Lehmann says authorities think there are more than 100 homeless people living in Elko. He says the city has had a bigger problem with illegal camping this year than ever before and the department is cracking down. Lehmann says while only a few people actually cause problems officers can’t pick and choose how to enforce the no-camping law.

A young mother and a toddler were left fighting for their lives after contracting the bacteria in Wrexham. Health officials have shut down a chip shop while they investigate the source of the infections. National Public Health Service fficials are now urging the families of other youngsters who attended the Dance Camp Wales event in Cresselly Pembrokeshire between July 29 and August 9 to contact their GP or out-of-hours service for medical advice as a matter of urgency. Dr Jörg Hoffmann consultant in communicable disease control for the NPHS said: “People can become infected with E. coli 157 by direct or indirect contact with animal faeces particularly on farms and sites used for camping and swimming in or drinking unchlorinated water. The illness can also be associated with contact with an infected person or from eating contaminated food. ”The organisers of Dance Camp Wales are working closely with Pembrokeshire Council’s public protection department and the NPHS to contact everyone who attended the event.

Her response was "My family and I are here to pick up groceries so that we can go camping tonight. " So here we are not even two weeks into the school year where parents are taking their kids out of school before Friday to go camping. The teacher never received a call or email from the parents alerting him to the fact their daughter would not be in school the next day even though she would miss her first quiz and likely not remember to make it up during the teacher’s morning tutoring hours upon her return to school the next Monday (assuming she will be in school next Monday). The end result is a zero on her first quiz. Did the parents ask the daughter "Would you rather go to school on Friday or go camping?" For some parents is school nowadays something that gets in the way of recreation and fun too much? Regarding the other two students in Walmart after school gone are the days when disciplined parents taught discipline to their children by insisting that homework gets done immediately after school.
