Free camping offered at 20 state parks

The regon Parks and Recreation Department is offering a free camping night as part of a summertime promotion at 20 state parks. The department introduced a coupon Wednesday that entitles customers who rent campsites for two consecutive nights to another night’s stay for free Sunday through Thursday. The coupons which are good through Sept. 30 must be printed off the department’s Web site www.

Given that Texas did not invite either one down for the summer camp for another evaluations it’s probably safe to say that neither are in line to receive an offer. And for his part White says that it would be great to play with his current teammates again in college but in his words “if we don’t we don’t. As for a timetable on a decision White plays it coy once again saying that only his mother knows about that most likely because they need to find time in their busy schedules to sit down and talk about it. White does say that he is “kind of winding things down a lot. ” Cryptic recruitspeak of the highest degree.
LCS board hears request to sell Camp Quest property

Clark Goodchild asked the board to consider selling the property known as Camp Quest for several reasons. As he has passed by the property in the last few years Goodchild said he sees it “as one big liability” referring to the terrain and condition of the facilities. For a number of years the property was used by Le Mars Community Schools science students as a summer camp run by junior high science teacher Tom Bohan. Goodchild said he had participated in the camping activities during his years at LCS. Goodchild a 1979 LCS graduate said he was also in the first fifth grade class at Kluckhohn Elementary which assisted teacher Tom DeKoster in planting the wildlife area south of that school building and using that area for teaching.
