Ron Hornaday celebrates 51st birthday with NASCAR Truck Series win

celebrated his 51st birthday by winning the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at the Milwaukee Mile and taking over the lead in the Truck Series standings on Saturday night. He has a 36-point lead over Matt Crafton in the Truck Series standings. The driver for Kevin Harvick Inc. won the the 41st Truck Series race of his career the most of any driver.

?I was just the beneficiary of some rough driving. We were in the right place at the right time at the end. ?Long who has competed in the NASCAR Camping World Series East this season on off weekends from his sports car racing schedule was making his debut in the NASCAR Camping World Series West. He drives a second entry for car owner Bob Bruncati in selected events in the series this season. Long dashed into the lead from the pole position and led the first 19 laps before making a green-flag pit stop for fuel. Logano who had opted to stop for fuel earlier during a caution on lap 14 charged his way to the front after restarting 22nd and took the lead on lap 26. Long steadily worked his way forward after his stop eventually gaining the runner-up spot behind Logano on lap 44.

Instead of ogling scantily clad women or cruising the big-city bar scene he and four friends watched squirrels run around a campsite at Huntsville State Park. They report the unconventional celebration turned out to be a fun — and cheap — alternative. It cost them about $200 for campsite fees and food for three days of camping fishing and boating. “You couldn’t do a nice meal or even a night on the town for that much” said friend Nick Yaws. As the recession presses on many Texas families and friends are saving money with low-cost vacations at state parks and national forests. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department reports overnight stays in state parks that allow camping were up 69 percent this Memorial Day weekend compared with the 2008 holiday. Three out of four state parks reported more total visitors during the holiday.

The temperatures were in the 90s and employees of Fairpark Healthcare Center had to invent ways to keep cool at their second annual Camping ut for a Cure. The event was held to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer’s disease. Healthcare centers across the nation that are owned by Kindred Healthcare are participating in the camp-outs.

Police say that fellow campers went to wake the two and discovered them dead at around 7:30 a. Sheriffs released their names after notifying their family. The victims Steven Dowdy 28 and Darian Thomlinson 10 were both from Grand Junction Colorado.
