Ron Hornaday celebrates 51st birthday with NASCAR Truck Series win

celebrated his 51st birthday by winning the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at the Milwaukee Mile and taking over the lead in the Truck Series standings on Saturday night. He has a 36-point lead over Matt Crafton in the Truck Series standings. The driver for Kevin Harvick Inc. won the the 41st Truck Series race of his career the most of any driver.

A popular girl scout camp is closing

For 60 years a Lexington County camp hosted troops of girl scouts every summer- helping build life-long friendships. Camp Congaree is closing at the end of the summer because of what officials call a sign of the times. “Here’s where we made kool-aid pizza and lasagna” said MIchelle Yarborough. 17 year old Michelle Yarborough remembers fun summers at Camp Congaree in Lexington County. “There was a huge lake and we always got to run and jump in the lake” said Yarborough.

Like he did at the Nike Camp at USC Radley bounced between running back and defensive back but was with the running backs during one-on-ones. Radley is a tremendous athlete and one of the most versatile players in the region. He’s a tough physical player who loves to compete and has the ability to help out a team at a number of positions. His best college position is probably safety but he has the tools to play running back as well.
