Earnhardt spent the last two seasons driving full-time in the division spending last season running a car for Dale Earnhardt Inc though the organization held him out of the final two events of the 2008 season for undisclosed reasons. DEI merged with Ganassi Racing during the offseason and Earnhardt Ganassi Racing isn’t currently fielding cars in the Camping World East. Earnhardt had four top-5 finishes and six top-10’s in 11 starts in 2008 in the division. He was fifth in the standings as a rookie in 2007 finishing the season with five top-5 finishes in 13 starts. Earnhardt is expected to run at least seven events this season on the Nationwide Series for car owner Rick Ware. He is expected to attempt to make his first start with the team at Dover International Raceway on May 30.
