Hunting is allowed for many game species including white-tailed deer wild turkey waterfowl and small game. Both archery and gun hunts are scheduled each year for the various species however special LBL hunting permits are required in addition to a valid Tennessee or Kentucky hunting license. LBL offers camping facilities for those who carry their sleeping bags lashed to a backpack as well as for those who prefer the luxury of a well-equipped recreational vehicle. Camping styles have come a long way in recent years and elaborate motor homes are a common sight in the campgrounds as are the lightweight dome tents that have replaced the heavier canvas types.
