The partner programs for the Jimmie Johnson Foundation include San Diego Habitat for Humanity the Hendrick Marrow Program the Victory Junction Gang Camp and Phoenix-based Make-A-Wish Foundation of America. In partnership with Phoenix International Raceway the Jimmie Johnson Foundation has designated the West Valley Child Crisis Center as its local charity of choice. The WVCCC?s mission is to provide a safe place where children are comfortable and loved and given a chance to heal before being placed in a foster home restored with their parent(s) or with a relative that the State deems able to provide decent care. Zona Medley Colquitt County 4-H agent with the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension has been teaching all about Georgia and the five 4-H Centers. All 4-H’ers received detailed information at their school during their February 4-H Programs. n June 8 the group of young people and adults will leave for a week of summer camp at the Jekyll Island 4-H Center. In addition to having fun on the beach 4-H’ers will experience canoeing biking through the Historic District learning about the ocean and marine life going to the water park making lots of new 4-H friends and so much more. Members of Colorado Springs City Council received a copy of the report Friday to discuss at their informal meeting on Monday. But the proposed changes to the city’s policies were not distributed to the media homeless advocates and critics Police Chief Richard Myers said. Because representatives from those groups had attended previous community meetings on the issue of homeless camp sweeps he agreed at council’s request to host another public meeting so all parties could review the changes and reach a consensus.
