A 2009 visit back to Camp Crystal Lake
SCSU University Chronicle MN -
A group of teenagers want to escape from dorm life for a weekend up at the cabin drinking and having a good time. Little do they know six weeks earlier a group of teens looking for the same getaway all ended up missing. Clay played by Jared Padalecki is searching for his sister who disappeared while camping in Crystal Lake. Clay comes across the campers and together they find much more than a relaxing vacation. Each of them tests their fate by coming face to face with the hockey masked Jason. Filled with a cast of young good looking actors some of the scenes get a little cheesy. Between the blood and the gore the interaction between the characters is less than intriguing.

It’s going to be Mardi Gras parades galore this weekend all across the Greater New rleans area so make sure to get your share. A friend of mine came up with a brilliant plan that we’re putting into action Saturday. He noticed that three parades overlap routes in the Uptown area – the Krewes of Iris Tucks and Endymion. So Saturday morning we’re heading down early.

Council Buries Camping Ban Censured by ACLU
Laguna Beach Independent CA -
The suit claims the city’s anti-sleeping ordinances amount to unconstitutional harassment through illegal “sweeps” where the homeless population is subject to middleof the-night interrogations and citations. No monetary damages are sought except legal fees and relief for Laguna’s homeless a population described in a city task force report as no more than 55 people all of them suffering from mental or physical disabilities. Because the city offers no shelter beds the anti-camping ordinance in affect “criminalizes” this population said the ACLU’s legal director Mark Rosenbaum. Nevertheless Greene declined to say if the lawsuit would be dropped with the abolishment of the offending ordinance. “It’s premature to know the impact on the lawsuit” she said on Wednesday. Even so the suit appeared last month to instigate the reconstituting of a disbanded homeless oversight task force which met for the first time last week. Five subcommittees were established to investigate priorities including the establishment of a multiservice center for the homeless population.
