Many of the students in the camps had not registered for the national examinations as the deadline approached raising fears that they could be locked out of the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE) and Kenya Certificate of Primary Education Examination (KCPE). It also has 98 secondary school students and 22 post-secondary students who were also caught up in the violence which rocked Nakuru Town and its environs. The poor conditions at the camp are not conducive for learning.
