However the DC did not turn up although Administration police officers were strategically placed at the camp’s main entrance and others strategically positioned in the grounds as they awaited him. Senior district officer Michael Bore Nakuru deputy mayor John Kitilit and Nakuru Town chief Stephen Karanja toured the camp and consulted with the camp officials before they left in a huff. The officials claimed not to know what message the DC had for the internal refugees.

North Dakota asthmatic kids ages 8-13 have a great opportunity to attend Asthma Camp in Minnesota. Camp Superkids will be held July 6-11 in Loretto MN (about 1 hour west of the Twin Cities). The other camp Camp We-No-Wheeze will be held August 3-6 at the Environmental Learning Center in Duluth. Both camps provide a fun safe and educational summer experience for children with asthma and have medical supervision 24 hours a day by highly skilled and involved medical staff.

Johnathan was hand picked by the veteran driver and car owner Jack Sellers of Jack Sellers Racing after Jack observed Johnathan’s impressive performance last season as a Late Model rookie who earned the “Most Improved Driver” award. “He has the ability to communicate well with me and we have made many changes to the cars which have resulted in faster times” observes Jack’s crew chief John Krebs who speaks from his 26 years of NASCAR Racing experience. “This is Johnathan’s home track and he is bringing in competitive lap times” says Krebs with approbation.

“They appear to be very interested in making this happen. EC wants to turn the reservation into an education and convention operation complete with convention center and hotel. It also would continue allowing scouts to camp on the site. The Chicago Boy Scouts’ strategic plan includes a desire to maintain a smaller camping facility at wasippe — something Sener said would fit well with EC’s plans. “We certainly believe we have something that can help the Chicago Area Council and help preserve wasippe and make it a fantastic resource” Sener said. “We’re in this for the long haul. As long as Scouting is around in Chicaago there’ll be a place for them at wasippe… The EC has been hoping to present to the Chicago Area Council a purchase offer of $12. 3 million for the 4800-acre wasippe property. The purchase price is based on a recent appraisal of the sprawling property in Blue Lake Township. Joe Sener chairman of the EC said he is hoping to connect with the president of the Chicago Boy Scouts council even though its board recently voted to continue a lawsuit against the township aimed at completing another $19 million purchase deal for the land. So far the Boy Scouts have not expressed interest in the EC’s offer. The TPL conceivably could purchase the wasippe property outright and hold it for a time as it seeks reimbursement from such private and public organizations as the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Land Trust Fund said Christopher D. Knopf director of regional programs for the TPL’s central region.

Then with his purchased medicines in hand the missionary began his tiresome two day journey back to the field hospital alone. He recalled that he traveled two days camping overnight and arriving home without any kind of incident. Two weeks passed and the missionary had to repeat the journey to the city. Arriving in the city the same young man that he had treated on the trip before approached him and told the missionary that he had known that he carried money and medicines and was traveling alone. The young man admitted: “Some friends and I followed you into the jungle knowing you would camp overnight. We planned to kill you and take your money and drugs.
