Sources said a huge deployment of security personnel in the station foiled the attempt of the rebels who faced strong retaliation. Besides jawans of the Special Task Force personnel of Special Armed Force and District Force were present in the station that also adjoins a relief camp housing some 1000 villagers who had deserted their homes in Maoist terror. Inspector general of police R. Vij said the rebels were camping in the area and had been firing at the station in intermittently. “There is sufficient force in the station” said Vij adding that there was no casualty reported. I hit the dirt face down in the wet leaves and low brush right behind the tent. Shouts running feet pounding down the trail and the rest of the crew booked it into the woods. “Don’t move!” barked the officer at the four standing their ground.
