Designed for children with asthma the camp will be held July 28- August 3 2007 at Jackson’s Mill Conference Center in Weston WV. Now in its seventeenth year Camp Catch Your Breath is specifically for children between the ages of 8 and 13 who have asthma. According to Sonny Hoskinson camp director (UHC) Camp Catch Your Breath combines traditional summer camp activities like crafts and swimming with an exciting asthma education curriculum. In addition extra evening activities such as a no-fire campfire Luoa Karaoke Buffo the Clown and a trip to the Lewis County Fair make camp a fun-filled experience for all involved.

js’>Camp Hope applications now being accepted Niagara Hospice is currently accepting applications for its seventh Camp Hope for grieving children. ffered to children throughout Western New York who have lost a loved one through death the camp is free for children ages seven to 13. Camp Hope is held at the YMCA’s Camp Kenan in Barker along the shores of Lake ntario and will take place from Friday June 22 to Sunday June 24. During the camp weekend children will learn to express their grief through activities such as musical expression arts and crafts and recreation. Typical camping activities such as swimming basketball and eating s’mores around the campfire will also take place. Camp Hope is staffed by professional counselors trained volunteers and a nurse who will be on hand for the entire weekend.

We had been planning it for a couple of months and thinking the whole time about how it would go now that Reese is 19 months. We decided to head to Fayetteville WV to kayak the New River Gorge. I posted a couple of pictures above. It’s a beautiful place and we go there several times a year. The last time we took Reese camping was last summer when she was 9 months old.
