Now 36 and an arborist for Bartlett Tree Experts in Hooksett Davis is reminded every day as he talks with people about the care and preservation of trees of how that experience touched his life. “4-H definitely made me who I am today” said Davis whose original introduction to forestry was through 4-H. “It’s just a super organization and one that every child should have the chance to experience. ” New Hampshire’s 4-H Camp also left its mark on the lives of Michael and Catherine Aldrich who met at the age of 13 at Bear Hill 4-H Camp in Allenstown and married 19 years later… “4-H definitely made me who I am today” said Davis whose original introduction to forestry was through 4-H. “It’s just a super organization and one that every child should have the chance to experience. ” New Hampshire’s 4-H Camp also left its mark on the lives of Michael and Catherine Aldrich who met at the age of 13 at Bear Hill 4-H Camp in Allenstown and married 19 years later. The couple now sends their own children to Allenstown each summer so they too can experience what 4-H Camp has to offer.

The Wapsipinicon River is just barely high enough to chase campers out of one small section of the park. But park managers were expecting more water and are grateful they didn’t get it. Tom Hazelton’s seen a lot of flood water spoil the camping fun at Pinicon Ridge Park over the years. And with all the recent rain he was expecting to lose more of these popular spots right along the river.

Camping and hiking can establish teamwork as well as increase appreciation for the outdoors. YMCA summer camps offered

The Strafford County YCMA is a community leader in offering quality summer day camp programs for ages 3 to 15. Camp Tenderfeet is a rewarding first-time day camp experience for boys and girls ages 3 to entering kindergarten. Professional early-childhood staff have carefully designed an introductory curriculum for summer day camping. At Camp Coney Pine boys and girls entering grades 1-8 enjoy an ACA accredited program which includes weekly activities tailored to school-age children. The fun includes archery arts and crafts drama; group games a low and high ropes challenge course nature recreational swim and daily swim lessons. For older campers interested in becoming leaders and positive role models there is leader-in-training (LIT) camp for boys and girls ages 12-14. Teen Camp new this summer is for youth ages 13-15 who have outgrown traditional day camp.

Supergrass & Mondays for Electric Gardens

Supergrass headline on the Saturday with The Happy Mondays on Sunday. The gates open at midday on both days with the event closing at 10:30pm on the Saturday and 9:30pm on the Sunday. Camping is available from 10am the Saturday with the campsite closing at 10am Monday morning. Tickets will be available to buy (from this site) from Friday 4th May priced £80 (weekend camping) £75 (weekend no camping) and £40 (single day).
